Skoda Kylaq gets benefits up to Rs 50,000 on crossing 50,000 sales

The Skoda Kylaq has crossed the 50,000-unit sales milestone. To celebrate the occasion, the carmaker is providing benefits of up to Rs 50,000 and 50 percent off a one-year Skoda Maintenance Package. Additionally, every customer purchasing a Kylaq will receive an assured gift. These offers are valid till February 28, 2026.

  1. Kylaq is the fastest Skoda model to cross 50,000 units in sales
  2. It recently got two more trims; a new top-of-the-line Sportline trim is coming too

The Kylaq is Skoda’s most affordable and only sub-4m model on sale, competing in the popular compact SUV segment. It is a strategically important model for the brand as it accounted for nearly 62 percent of its sales last year. And last year’s GST revisions that lowered the tax rate on sub-4m cars and resulted in price cuts have helped boost Kylaq sales. Consequently, the SUV is now the bestselling Skoda, crossing 50,000 units in sales in 13 months, becoming the brand’s quickest model to achieve this milestone. To keep up with the demand, Skoda has also increased its Chakan plant’s production capacity by 30 percent.

Recently, the Czech carmaker introduced two new trims for the Kylaq, bringing more features and value to the lower- and mid-spec offerings in the model range. Skoda will also launch a new top-of-the-line Sportline trim later this year, expected to be a sportier-looking variant with cosmetic changes.

The compact SUV is available only with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 115hp and 178Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The Kylaq’s prices range from Rs 7.59 lakh to Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Volkswagen will also launch its badge-engineered version of the Kylaq in 2027.
