Nissan to hike prices from January 2026

Nissan has announced that it will increase prices across its range by up to 3 percent from January 1, 2026. Currently, the Magnite is the only offering from Nissan in India.

  1. Nissan has not revealed a reason for the price hike
  2. By 2027, it aims to bring three new models to India

Here’s the expected price increase for the Nissan Magnite

Nissan’s compact SUV could see a price hike of up to Rs 32,000

Earlier this year, the Nissan Magnite received a price cut ranging between Rs 52,000 and Rs 1 lakh after a revision in the Goods and Services Tax (GST). The ex-showroom prices for the compact SUV range from Rs 5.62 lakh to Rs 10.76 lakh. From January, they could go up by Rs 17,000-32,000, ranging between Rs 5.79 lakh and Rs 11.08 lakh.

Nissan’s upcoming launches revealed

The carmaker will bring three all-new models by 2027

Nissan to hike prices from January 2026

For 2026, Nissan has confirmed three new launches for India. First would be the Gravite compact MPV, set to arrive in showrooms by March 2026. Essentially a badge-engineered version of the Renault Triber, the Gravite will differentiate itself through a redesigned exterior and a different interior colour scheme. It will likely share the Triber’s 1.0-litre petrol engine, mated to a manual or an AMT gearbox.

In February 2026, Nissan will showcase its Creta rival, the Tekton. The Tekton shares its CMF-B platform with the Renault Duster and will share its petrol powertrain options, too. The carmaker has also stated that it will bring a 7-seater SUV based on the Tekton’s platform in 2027. The SUV would likely be a badge-engineered version of the Renault Bigster/Boreal sold abroad.

Nissan’s decision to raise prices comes at a time when brands like Mercedes-Benz, BYD and MG have also announced price hikes due to rising input costs or unfavourable exchange rates.
