The new Mahindra XUV 7XO has launched at a starting price of Rs 13.66 lakh, ex-showroom, applicable for the first 40,000 units. Pre-bookings for the 2026 Mahindra SUV, which is essentially the XUV700 facelift, were closed before the launch, and fresh bookings will now open on January 14, 2026. Deliveries for select variants will start on the same day, followed by a phased rollout for the remaining variants through April. The Mahindra XUV 7XO rivals the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Hyundai Alcazar.

Boomerang-shaped DRLs, new front grille

The new XUV 7XO gets revised front LED headlamp units surrounded by boomerang-shaped DRLs, a new front grille, and refreshed tail-lights with hexagonal detailing. The profile remains largely similar to the outgoing XUV700, save for a new design for the alloy wheels.

Inside, the XUV 7XO gets a new colour scheme for the upholstery and a three-screen setup, comprising a digital driver's display, a central infotainment screen, and a dedicated screen for the front passenger, each measuring 12.3 inches. 

There is also a new two-spoke steering wheel, and a touch-based panel for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a powered Boss Mode for the front passenger seat, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, and wireless charging.

540-degree camera setup, Level 2 ADAS

The Mahindra XUV 7XO top model comes equipped with 7 airbags, a 540-degree camera, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and ISOFIX seat anchorages. As before, a Level 2 ADAS suite, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and automatic emergency braking, is on offer. While the XUV700 earned a full five-star rating in the 2021 Global NCAP crash tests, Mahindra claims the 7XO has been engineered to match that performance under Bharat NCAP.

The XUV 7XO is offered with 203hp 2-litre turbo-petrol and 185hp 2.2-litre diesel engine options, along with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox choices. The diesel engine paired with the torque converter automatic transmission can also be had with an all-wheel drive setup on higher trims.
