Kia Carens Clavis HTX(O): What’s new?

Positioned just below the top-spec HTX+ trim, the new HTX(O) makes the 8-speaker Bose sound system a little more accessible – it was previously exclusive to the HTX+. Other features, such as selectable drive modes (Eco, Normal and Sport), an electronic parking brake with auto hold, 17-inch alloys, a panoramic sunroof, LED headlights, twin 12.25-inch screens, a 360-degree camera and ambient lighting, have been carried forward from lower trims.

Only the 160hp 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with the 7-speed DCT gearbox is available on this new HTX(O) trim. However, both 6- and 7-seat configurations are available.

Kia Carens Clavis: New 6-seater variants

Until now, the option of middle-row captain chairs was available exclusively on the top-spec HTX+ trim and only with the turbo-petrol engine. Now, the HTK+ trim also offers the 6-seat captain chair configuration with the turbo-petrol DCT and diesel AT powertrains, while the HTK+(O) gets it only with the turbo-petrol DCT version.
