mercedes benz price hikes 2025

Mercedes-Benz India has announced price hikes across its entire model range. The German carmaker will employ a two-stage process to increase prices, with the first hike taking effect on June 1 for select variants of the C-ClassE-ClassGLCGLEGLSEQS, and Maybach S-Class.

The second hike will come into effect on September 1, 2025, across the full Mercedes-Benz line-up. This staggered approach aims to give prospective customers additional time to plan their purchases, with a "minimal" initial hike instead of facing an imminently steep price increase, says Mercedes-Benz.

  1. Mercedes-Benz to hike prices of GLS, GLC, E-Class, C-Class, and more starting June 1
  2. Another hike of up to 1.5 percent to be levied on all Mercedes-Benz models from Sept 1
  3. The carmaker attributes the price hikes to increased import costs due to declining forex rates

Mercedes-Benz India car prices to rise by Rs 90,000-12.2 lakh from June
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class will see the steepest price hikes in June.

According to Mercedes-Benz, the latest price hikes are the result of a near 10 percent depreciation in the forex value of the Indian rupee compared to the Euro over the past four months, which has increased the cost of importing both CBU (completely built unit) models and components for CKD (completely knocked down) model assembly. The carmaker has attempted to offset the rising costs by increasing production localisation in India, but now has to pass some of them to customers.

June price hikes to range between Rs 90,000 and Rs 12.2 lakh

The initial price hikes will start at Rs 90,000 for the C-Class and climb up to Rs 12.2 lakh for the Maybach S-Class. Here’s a detailed breakdown of every Mercedes-Benz car that will get more expensive starting June 1, 2025:
