Maruti Suzuki has introduced a rotatable front passenger seat option for its Wagon R hatchback, designed to make getting in and out easier for senior citizens and persons with disabilities. Initially available at more than 200 Arena dealerships in 11 cities, the pilot project will be scaled up based on customer response. The Maruti Wagon R swivel seat price has not been announced yet.

Maruti Wagon R swivel seat details
Wagon R units from model year 2019 and onwards are eligible for the swivel seat kit retrofit. The installation, which takes less than an hour, is carried out without modifying the car’s structure, and the factory-fitted seat does not require any replacement in the process. The Wagon R’s tall-boy design already makes getting in and out easy, and the option of a rotatable seat only strengthens that advantage.
Notably, the swivel seat has been tested at the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) and complies with required safety standards. A 3-year warranty against any manufacturing defects will also be provided. With this initiative, the country’s largest carmaker aims to bring ease of accessibility across a wide customer base.
