Citroen has hiked prices of the Basalt, Aircross and C3 models in India. The prices have increased by Rs 20,000 for the Basalt and Aircross, and by up to Rs 15,000 for the C3. Except for the prices, no other changes have been made to the Citroen offerings.
- Basalt and Aircross are available in You, Plus and Max trims
- C3 is offered in Live, Live (O), Feel, Feel (O) and Shine trims
- All three cars get 1.2-litre petrol and 1.2-litre turbo-petrol options
Citroen Basalt: Old vs new prices
Basalt prices now range from Rs 8.15 lakh to Rs 13.35 lakh
*The Max trim is available with dual-tone colour options at an extra Rs 21,000
Citroen has raised the Basalt price by Rs 20,000 for all variants. Notably, the Max trim is offered with a 360-degree camera accessory at an additional price, which will be installed in the dealerships. The coupe-SUV is offered with 82hp 1.2-litre naturally aspirated and 110hp 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine options. While manual transmission is available with both engines, the turbocharged unit can also be had with a 6-speed torque-converter gearbox.
The Citroen Basalt rivals the Tata Curvv coupe-SUV and is an alternative to midsize SUVs such as the Aircross, Hyundai Creta, Tata Sierra, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate and the upcoming Renault Duster.
Citroen Aircross: Old vs new prices
Aircross prices now range from Rs 8.49 lakh to Rs 13.94 lakh
*The 7-seater Max trim is available with a dual-tone shade at an extra Rs 20,000
^Includes the price of a mandatory 360-degree camera accessory
Prices of all the trims, except the recently introduced Max Turbo 5-seater trim, have increased by Rs 20,000. The higher increment on the top-spec 7-seater Max Turbo trim includes the standard Rs 20,000 price increase plus the addition of a 360-degree camera. This camera is installed at the dealership level, as the Aircross comes with a rear parking camera as standard from the factory. Like the Basalt SUV-coupe with which the Aircross shares its engine options.
Citroen C3: Old vs new prices
C3 prices now range from Rs 4.95 lakh to Rs 9.45 lakh
^Includes the price of a mandatory 360-degree camera accessory
As with the Citroen Aircross, the top-spec Shine trims include a 360-degree camera accessory that will be installed at the dealership. However, if you set aside the price of such a camera setup, the C3 price has increased by Rs 15,000. Notably, the Live (O) is the most recent trim to be introduced in the C3’s line-up, and prices of its manual variant are unchanged. The C3 gets the same engine options as the Basalt and Aircross.
The Citroen C3 locks horns with the Hyundai Exter, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Renault Kwid and Tata Punch.
All prices are ex-showroom, India.
