BMW has introduced a new M Performance Track Kit for the M2 Coupe, the entry point to its M range, along with a new M Performance exhaust option for the M2 CS Coupe. The Track Kit will be available internationally from July 2026, but an exact India launch date or pricing has not been confirmed yet.

  1. Adjustable wing inspired by M4 GT4 and M4 GT3 models is part of the package
  2. New M Performance exhaust setup is 8kg lighter than standard M2 CS’s unit
  3. 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-six engine will not be altered

The carmaker, though, has stated that in Germany the Track Kit will cost 23,500 euros (Rs 25.17 lakh at the time of writing) plus taxes, excluding installation. Notably, the 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-six petrol engine remains unchanged, producing 480hp in the M2 and 530hp in the M2 CS.

M Performance Track Kit details

BMW M2

As the name suggests, the M Performance Track Kit has been developed for track use. It adds a manually adjustable front splitter integrated with the front diffuser, fixed wheel-arch diffusers and a scoop below the engine oil cooler. At the rear, there is a manually adjustable wing inspired by the BMW M4 GT4 and M4 GT3 models. The wing can be operated via Race Mode, which shifts it 50mm rearwards to increase aerodynamic effectiveness, and its angle can also be adjusted in two stages to alter rear downforce; it integrates a brake light too.

The kit also includes 4-way adjustable dampers and support bearings. Ride height can be lowered by up to 20mm at both the front and rear. BMW claims the components were developed with inputs from its M division engineers and tested in a wind tunnel.

New exhaust system for M2 CS

The new M Performance exhaust system for the M2 CS gets revised routing, enhancing the sound of the inline-six motor. The setup is around 8kg lighter than the standard unit and can be optioned with carbon and titanium tailpipe trims.
