The 5 Series LWB now gets the Panorama Glassroof Sky Lounge, which uses a printed pattern on the glass and built-in LED lighting to create different colour effects. These lights work with the car’s ambient lighting settings, can change with driving modes and remain visible even during the day. The roof brings more natural light into the cabin, making the interior feel more open.

Driving Assistant Plus brings additional driver aids

Includes warnings and Stop & Go cruise control

BMW 5 Series gets updates in India

The 5 Series LWB now comes with Driving Assistant Plus. The system includes lane-change warning, front-collision warning, rear-collision warning and cross-traffic warning. It also adds Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go, which can maintain a set speed and distance from the vehicle ahead. It can detect stopped vehicles and bring the car to a halt when needed. All functions are operated through the steering-mounted controls.

2.0-litre petrol engine continues as the sole option

Offered only in the 530Li M Sport LWB variant

The 5 Series is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that makes 258hp and 400Nm, coupled with a 48V mild-hybrid system that adds up to 11hp and 25Nm. The car is only available in the 530Li M Sport LWB variant, which focuses on enhanced rear-seat comfort and legroom.

BMW previously updated the 5 Series LWB in July 2025 by making 19-inch alloy wheels standard, replacing the 18-inch wheels following customer feedback.
