A test mule of the upcoming Mahindra Scorpio N facelift has been spotted in the wild ahead of the SUV’s launch in the coming months. The new Scorpio N facelift spy shots preview some of the exterior tweaks we can expect, as well as feature upgrades inside the cabin. It will continue to rival the Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar and MG Hector Plus.

  1. Mahindra Scorpio N facelift to feature mild styling changes
  2. Scorpio N facelift interior will get larger touchscreen, digital driver’s display, and more
  3. Same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines to be on offer

Redesigned alloy wheels, bumpers and grille

Up front, not much seems to have changed on the Scorpio N facelift. The grille and air dam now sport horizontal slats, and the bumper appears to have been revised slightly, but the chunky LED headlights and fog lamps with C-shaped surrounds remain unchanged from the current Scorpio N.

Over to the side, the 18-inch alloy wheels sport a new 5-spoke design on the Scorpio N facelift, while everything else looks identical to the existing model. The spy shots on hand don’t show off the rear of the Scorpio N facelift, but expect similar mild changes here too, such as new LED signatures for the tail-lamps and an updated bumper design.

New 10.25-inch touchscreen and digital driver’s display

The Scorpio N facelift interior will see more notable changes, with the biggest one being a larger 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen – borrowed from the Thar Roxx and a sizeable improvement over the current 8-inch unit. To accommodate the new display, Mahindra seems to have redesigned the centre console too, with the vertical AC vents being repositioned horizontally below the touchscreen.

There’s also a new satin silver surround on the centre console, and the physical controls have thankfully not been swapped out for touch-capacitive buttons like in the XUV 7XO. The brown-black colour scheme and three-spoke flat-bottomed steering wheel remain unchanged, but we can observe a new digital driver’s display – likely the same 10.25-inch unit as the Thar Roxx – in place of the current Scorpio N’s analogue dials and 7-inch MID.

Turbo-petrol and diesel powertrains to carry on unchanged, along with 4x4

Not much is expected to change for the Scorpio N facelift on the mechanical front. It will continue to offer the existing 203hp 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 175hp 2.2-litre diesel engines, both of which can be had with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions. The diesel powertrains are additionally offered with 4x4 in higher variants. Mahindra could even equip the Scorpio N facelift with the same ‘DaVinci’ dampers as the XUV 7XO for improved ride quality.
