For 2021, the MG Hector range has been updated quite a bit. Along with cosmetic changes and feature updates for the 5-seat Hector and 6-seat Hector Plus, MG Motor India has introduced a 7-seat Hector Plus too. The variant line-up for the Hector Plus has been rationalised as well to better differentiate between the 6- and 7-seat versions.

In the interest of brevity, we’ve listed the features available with the Hector Plus in addition to those available on the respective 5-seat Hector variant. It should be noted that, along with the different seating configurations and a tweaked variant and powertrain line-up, a few visual differences inside and out also help mark the Hector Plus from the Hector. In addition, the 6-seat and 7-seat Hector Plus are only differentiated visually by the middle row having either captain’s seats or a bench.

Again, there’s no change in the features list betweenthe Hector and Hector Plus in their respective Smart trims.
2021 MG Hector Plus Select [Rs 18.33 lakh]

The Select trim is unique to the 7-seat Hector Plus. While it shares nearly all the equipment and tech available with the Hector Sharp variant, it misses out on the powered tailgate, the larger multi-info display and ambient lighting.

The 5-seat Hector rivals the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier and Nissan Kicks in our market. Along with the current Mahindra XUV500, the MG Hector Plus will soon face competition from the new Tata Safari, the next-gen XUV500 and the Hyundai Creta 7-seat version.
