The TVS XL 100 is a utility moped designed for heavy-duty use, budget-conscious buyers, and cargo-carrying needs. It is well-known for its light-weight (88-89kg), sturdy frame, and a wide rear seat that can be removed for carrying cargo, making it well suited for both urban and rural transport.
The TVS XL 100 was first launched in 2015 in Uttar Pradesh, after which a wider rollout was carried out in Tamil Nadu in 2016. While the XL brand has existed since 1980 (starting with 50cc models), this modern 4-stroke moped has received several upgrades over the years, focused mainly on emissions and convenience. The most comprehensive update that TVS XL 100 received came in 2020, when the engine was updated to meet BS-VI norms, replacing the carburetor with ETFi technology.
