A little under three months after its launch in India, the Yamaha XSR 155’s price has been hiked. Since the XSR 155 is offered in a single variant with four different colours, the quantum of the price hike varies depending on the option you choose.
- Blue colour price remains unchanged at Rs 1.50 lakh
- Biggest price hike is for green/bronze and white paint option
- XSR 155 based on same platform as R15 and MT-15
Yamaha XSR 155 price hike details
The biggest price increase amounts to Rs 9,000
The XSR 155’s uber-cool (and elder sibling XSR 900-inspired) trademark Yamaha blue colour option still retains the introductory price of Rs 1.50 lakh, and this is the only colour option with the shiny gold USD fork. The smallest price increase is for the bright red colour, now priced at Rs 1.53 lakh. Moving on from there, you have the understated silver shade, which now costs Rs 1.57 lakh. Last, but not least, the multi-coloured green/bronze and white paint scheme has seen the biggest price jump and now costs Rs 1.59 lakh.
Even so, the top XSR 155 colour option costs almost as much as the base MT-15 and still undercuts all but the very bottom variant of the popular Royal Enfield Hunter 350. To recap, the XSR 155 is a sporty, retro-looking motorcycle underpinned by the same architecture as the popular Yamaha R15 and MT-15 siblings but with very different aesthetics.
All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
