Flying Flea bikes out on test on public roads

Royal Enfield is gearing up to launch its first electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6. While earlier test mules were heavily camouflaged when spotted in Chennai and undergoing cold weather testing in Ladakh, this latest sighting reveals that the production version stays very close to the concept showcased at EICMA 2024.

Flying Flea C6 details

The Flying Flea C6 will be Royal Enfield’s first electric motorcycle

The Flying Flea C6 was first revealed at EICMA 2024, and with a launch slated for the first quarter of 2026, it has been spotted testing on public roads multiple times over the last few months. While earlier images showed heavily camouflaged test mules, these recent sightings appear to feature near-production-ready bikes, suggesting that the brand remains on track with its launch timeline.

The bikes also confirm that the production version stays true to the prototype first showcased at EICMA, down to the distinctive green colourway. Key design elements such as the circular LED headlamp, distinctive girder-style front fork, exposed aluminium frame, belt drive setup and finned battery pack were all seen on earlier test bikes. The latest test bikes also feature a centre stand.

The Flying Flea C6 is based on Royal Enfield’s new ‘L’ platform, which will also underpin the S6 scrambler expected to follow the C6 later in 2026. While Royal Enfield has not yet revealed detailed powertrain specifications, the company promises engaging performance along with a premium build quality. The Flying Flea range will be positioned as a premium offering and is likely to be priced between the brand’s 450cc and 650cc families, with a launch expected over the next couple of months.
