While almost all manufacturers are increasing the prices of their motorcycles with engines bigger than 350cc, Bajaj has decided to absorb the cost instead of passing it on to the customer.

  1. Bajaj will not increase the prices of locally made Triumph and KTM motorcycles
  2. The move to absorb the cost will increase their edge against rivals like Royal Enfield

India-made Triumph, KTM bikes price post-GST

GST rises to 40 percent from 31 percent for bikes above 350cc

While Bajaj has extended the full GST benefit to customers for its sub-350cc bikes, the company has made a surprise move by keeping prices constant for the Triumph 400cc and KTM 390 models. It has not stated how long these prices will remain constant, but this will surely help increase showroom footfall for both brands.

As a result of this move, the new KTM 390 Adventure X is now more affordable than the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, and the same goes for the Triumph Speed 400 versus the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450.

The Triumph Speed T4 price remains at Rs 1.99 lakh, while the Speed 400 still costs Rs 2.5 lakh. The Triumph Scrambler range is priced between Rs 2.68 lakh and Rs 2.94 lakh, while the new Triumph Thruxton 400 costs the same Rs 2.74 lakh.

As for the KTMs, the 390 Duke is priced at Rs 2.97 lakh, the RC 390 at Rs 3.23 lakh, and the Enduro R at Rs 3.39 lakh for the India-spec model and Rs 3.53 lakh for the global-spec bike with the extra suspension travel. As for the ADVs, the 390 Adventure X is priced at Rs 3.04 lakh and the 390 Adventure at Rs 3.68 lakh.

All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
