KTM 160 Duke TFT display variant launched at Rs 1.79 lakh

KTM has launched a new top-spec variant of the 160 Duke, priced at Rs 1.79 lakh. It gets a TFT dash that has been borrowed from the current 390 Duke.

Earlier this year, KTM launched the 160 Duke that would replace the erstwhile 125 Duke while also serving as an entry point in the Duke family. This helped the brand better take on the Yamaha MT-15 while offering comparable levels of displacement and performance. Although soon after the launch of the 160 Duke, Yamaha updated the MT-15 with a new top-spec variant that offered a TFT dash, giving the Yamaha an edge in the features department, as the 160 Duke was launched with only an LCD dash.

Now, KTM has launched a new top-spec variant that features a TFT dash that has been picked straight from the 390 Duke. After this update, all India-made Duke range now has an option of a TFT dash. The 4-way switchgear remains the same on both models.

The feature set remains the same, with Bluetooth connectivity and app support. These connectivity functions allow riders to play music, take incoming calls, and access turn-by-turn navigation when paired with the KTM app.

Priced at Rs 1.78 lakh, this top-spec variant sits above the base variant, which continues to be priced at Rs 1.71 lakh, marking a price premium of Rs 7,000. Compared to the MT-15 variant that offers a TFT dash, the Duke 160 is Rs 13,000 more expensive, but it also comes with a larger 5-inch dash with higher resolution and crisper graphics, whereas the MT-15 gets an FZ-S FI Hybrid-derived 4.2-inch TFT dash.
