Kawasaki India recently announced pretty substantial discounts on its Ninja and Versys family models, and now the company has done the same for its Z650 duo. Just like the discounts on the previously mentioned models, these are also valid only until January 31.

  1. Z650 price reduced by Rs 27,000, Z650RS price dropped by Rs 20,000
  2. Offers applicable only on MY25-manufactured units
  3. Both powered by the same 649cc, parallel-twin engine

Kawasaki Z650 and Z650RS become a little more attainable

Z650 price now starts just under Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom, India)

The neo-retro Kawasaki Z650RS sees a Rs 20,000 price reduction, thereby bringing its new price down to Rs 7.63 lakh. Meanwhile, the more affordable Z650 sees the bigger Rs 27,000 price drop, bringing its price down to just below the 7 lakh mark at Rs 6.99 lakh. These discounts are only applicable on MY25-manufactured units of the Z650 and Z650RS and are only valid until January 31. It would be advisable to contact your nearest authorised Kawasaki dealer for more details and to check stock availability for these bikes.

Both the Z650 and Z650RS are powered by the same liquid-cooled 649cc twin-cylinder engine – which is fully E20 compliant – making 68hp and 64Nm of torque. This motor is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip/assist clutch. This is one of the only large-capacity twin-cylinder engines available today to use a 180-degree firing order, in contrast to most modern twin-cylinder engines with a 270-degree, V-twin-mimicking pulse and sound. At their price point, the naked Kawasaki 650s have virtually no direct rivals, with nearly all other twin-cylinder, sub-100hp middleweight offerings now having jumped up the ladder to 750-800cc.

All prices ex-showroom, India.
