Honda had earlier unveiled the Shine 100 DX alongside the CB125 Hornet. It was aimed at buyers expecting a bit more flair and features from their daily commuter. Now, Honda has launched it at a price of Rs 74,959 (ex-showroom, Gurugram).

  1. Honda Shine 100 DX gets additional chrome bits
  2. Features an LCD dash and 17-inch tubeless tyres
  3. Available in four colours with refreshed graphics

It is powered by the same 98.98cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine as the standard model, producing 7.3hp and 8.04Nm, paired with a 4-speed gearbox.

To add the DX suffix, Honda has given the Shine 100 several notable changes, including 17-inch tubeless tyres, preload-adjustable rear shock absorbers, a new LCD digital display with real-time mileage and distance-to-empty readouts, and a side-stand engine cut-off.

Honda has given the Shine 100 DX a few cosmetic tweaks over the standard version, including chrome accents above the headlight and muffler, a blacked-out engine and grab rail and revised graphics. The fuel tank is now larger at 10 litres – an increase of 1 litre – based on customer feedback.

It is available in four colours – black, red, blue and grey. All of them are priced at an identical Rs 74,959 (ex-showroom, Gurugram). This puts the latest Honda 100cc commuter bang on par with the Hero HF and Splendor models. Deliveries of the Honda Shine 100 DX will commence from mid-August 2025 in a phase-wise manner.
