BMW Motorrad India has sold 1,000 units of its S 1000 RR litre-class superbike in India. The company handed over the 1,000th unit of the S 1000 RR to a customer in Delhi.

The S 1000 RR has always been a popular choice amongst buyers in the litre-class superbike market because of how easy it is to ride, despite the massive performance on tap, its inline-four soundtrack and the bragging rights that the BMW badge brings to the table. Add to that the fact that it is priced rather well in the context of a 1,000cc fire-breathing machine, and it's not hard to see why the S 1000 RR has done so well in the Indian market.
At the Auto Expo this year, BMW Motorrad launched the 2025 S 1000 RR in India; it is available in three variants – Standard (Rs 21.30 lakh), Pro (Rs 23.80 lakh) and Pro M Sport (Rs 26.05 lakh). The S 1000 RR’s pricing ensures that it is the most affordable full-blown European superbike on sale, undercutting the likes of the Ducati Panigale V4 (Rs 30 lakh-36.50 lakh) and the Aprilia RSV4 Factory (Rs 31.26 lakh).
The S 1000 RR continues to be powered by the same 999cc, inline four-cylinder motor that produces 210hp at 13,750rpm and 113Nm at 11,000rpm. BMW says it can hit a top speed of 303kph and tips the scales at 197kg. To read more about the updates to BMW’s popular superbike for 2025, you can tap HERE.
BMW Motorrad continues to expand its presence in the Indian premium motorcycle market, where demand for high-performance bikes has grown among urban consumers with disposable income. Vikram Pawah, president and CEO of BMW Group India, described the S 1000 RR as "a symbol of precision engineering and absolute performance." He noted that the milestone demonstrates the motorcycle's popularity among Indian riders who seek high-performance vehicles for both road and track use.
