BMW Motorrad crosses 2 lakh sales in 2025

BMW Motorrad delivered 2,02,563 motorcycles worldwide in 2025, marking the fourth consecutive year the company has surpassed the 2 lakh unit milestone.

  1. R 1300 GS Adventure and R 1300 GS were top sellers
  2. Germany, France and Italy were the top three markets

R 1300 GS models lead sales.

BMW Motorrad mentions that the sales came despite a global decline in the 500cc and above segment. In December alone, the manufacturer sold 15,109 motorcycles, marking the third-best December in BMW Motorrad's history.

The BMW R 1300 GS Adventure topped the sales charts with 33,570 units, followed by the R 1300 GS with 32,555 units. The S 1000 RR came in third with 11,643 units sold.

Europe accounted for 1,18,814 units, with BMW Motorrad’s home market of Germany leading the way with 25,516 motorcycles. France followed with 19,019 units, ahead of Italy at 16,692 units and Spain at 14,005 units. Outside Europe, the USA recorded sales of 14,869 units, Brazil 14,488 units, and China 10,555 units. As reported earlier, BMW Motorrad India also achieved its highest-ever sales in the domestic market, delivering 5,841 motorcycles, with the G 310 RR emerging as the brand’s bestselling model in India.

Globally, the middleweight class that includes the F 800 GS, F 900 R and F 900 GS reached 41,166 units, while the four-cylinder segment totalled 28,408 units. Lastly, the Urban Mobility models – C 400 GT, C 400 X, CE 04 and CE 02 – accounted for over 18,400 units.
