Ather Energy has announced the rollout of Infinite Cruise on the Ather 450X. While all new 450X scooters will come with it as standard, the feature will also be available for scooters purchased after January 1, 2025, as an OTA update.

  1. Infinite Cruise feature operates in the 10-90kph range
  2. Over 44,000 existing Ather 450X customers to receive the update

Ather 450X Infinite Cruise: all you need to know

Feature was previously exclusive to the Ather 450 Apex

The Infinite Cruise feature was first announced for the Ather 450 Apex at Ather Community Day 2025, and it is the same system that we got to experience when we rode the scooter a couple of months ago. Unlike traditional cruise control setups that disengage completely when the rider brakes or accelerates, Infinite Cruise remains continuously primed in the background. The system temporarily disengages when braking and reengages at the new speed when the rider accelerates again.

The feature can also be activated from as low as 10kph, which makes it useful even in slow-moving city traffic. Additionally, it integrates a ‘Hill Control’ function that adjusts power delivery and regenerative braking to maintain a steady speed on inclines and descents.

Ather says Infinite Cruise will be rolled out to over 44,000 Ather 450X customers who purchased their scooters from January 1, 2025, onwards. Eligible riders will be informed through an on-screen notification on their scooter dashboard.
