2026 Kawasaki Versys 650 details
Shares its 649cc twin-cylinder engine with multiple other Kawasaki bikes
Like the 2026 Ninja 650, the updated Versys 650 remains pretty much the same as before, with the exception of a new grey/black colour with green highlights. Powering the Versys 650 is Kawasaki’s tried-and-tested 649cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, making 67hp and 61Nm of torque. It has a 4.3-inch colour TFT display and a 4-way adjustable windscreen, among other features. The Versys’s main USPs as a road-biased tourer are its tall stance and adjustable suspension units, which have 150mm/145mm (F/R) of wheel travel.
Like all new big bike launches, the Versys 650 is fully E20-compatible. With its big 21-litre fuel tank brimmed, the bike weighs 220kg. The seat height is set at a fairly tall 845mm, and the Versys 650 has a healthy 170mm of ground clearance, which should help it tackle most Indian road surfaces.
Priced at Rs 8.63 lakh, the Kawasaki Versys 650 sits in a niche of its own in the Indian market. Its closest competition comes from the Honda NX500 (Rs 6.33 lakh) and Moto Morini X-Cape 650 (Rs 6.40 lakh).
