The Royal Enfield Bullet 650 is the newest and most affordable model in Royal Enfield's 650cc parallel-twin lineup, joining the Classic 650, Shotgun 650, Super Meteor 650 and Bear 650 on the same long-wheelbase platform. It uses the familiar 648cc air/oil-cooled parallel-twin producing 47hp and 52.3Nm, paired with a six-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch.

Suspension is handled by a Showa telescopic front fork with 120mm of travel and twin rear shocks with 90mm of travel, while a 14.8-litre fuel tank and dual-channel ABS round out the package. Visually, the Bullet 650 differentiates itself from the Classic 650 through hand-painted pinstripes on the fuel tank, metal tank badging and a more squared-off rear fender. The most practical difference, however, is the single-piece stepped seat, which improves on the Classic 650's removable pillion seat setup and should offer better comfort for both rider and pillion. The Bullet 650 is available in two colours – Canon Black and Battleship Blue.

Poll of the month

What do you think about E85 fuel’s Rs 82.12/litre price in India?

Good - Rs 20/litre cheaper than E20 is a big advantage
Bad - it should have been priced even lower
Doesn’t matter - there aren’t enough E85-compatible vehicles yet
