Tata has launched the 2026 Tiago in India, with prices starting from Rs 4.69 lakh (ex-showroom). It gets revised lighting elements, redesigned bumpers and new alloy rims, as well as an updated interior with additional features. Here’s everything that has changed in the 2026 Tata Tiago over the previous model.
Tata Tiago new vs old: Exterior design
2026 Tiago gets sleek headlights and a redesigned front bumper
Compared to the outgoing model, the 2026 Tiago gets sleeker LED headlights with eyebrow-shaped LED daytime running lamps (DRLs). While the grille remains black, Tata has made it smoother. The chrome strip, which underlined the grille and spanned the headlights, has been removed.
The front bumper has been thoroughly redesigned, now devoid of the silver accents. Pixel-shaped LED fog lamps have replaced the larger halogen ones of the older model. Keen-eyed viewers can also spot a camera module on the front bumper and the outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), confirming a new 360-degree camera setup.
New alloy wheel design, black wheel arches
In profile, the only changes are redesigned 15-inch alloy wheels and black wheel arches, the latter of which was offered with the older Tiago’s crossover-styled NRG version. Everything else, including the body-coloured door handles with chrome strips and a blacked-out B-pillar, is the same.
The LED tail-lights, connected by a red trim, are new
The tail-lights are all-new, with three vertical LED strips on both sides and a connecting non-illuminated red trim bar in the centre. The Tiago lettering has moved from the centre to the lower portion of the tailgate, while the camera module, earlier on the tailgate, is now housed in the bumper. The reverse light has also moved to the bumper’s lower portion. The bumper itself has been slightly redesigned, with the black portion extending to the lowermost sections.
Tata Tiago new vs old: Interior design
More convenience features and a new two-tone interior
The 2026 Tata Tiago comes with a more modern-looking interior compared to its predecessor. Some of the changes visible on the inside include a new light grey and black interior theme. Apart from the seats, this light grey fabric is also found on certain sections of the dashboard, door cards and the front centre armrest. Gloss-black trim is not only present on the two-spoke steering wheel, but its application now extends to the door armrests, centre console and centre pedestal.
Gone is the traditional instrument binnacle, replaced by a ‘free-standing’ digital driver’s display. Tata has also revised the design of the AC vents and HVAC panel while ditching the button-operated glove box-opening mechanism for a traditional one. However, the design of the steering wheel and the layout of the switchgear on the centre console have been carried over.

The 2026 Tiago gets new rear AC vents and a Type-C charging port for the rear passengers, and amenities like a 4-speaker audio system, a wireless phone charger, manually adjustable driver's seat, a cooled glovebox, automatic climate control and cruise control have been carried. On the safety front, it gets 6 airbags as standard (compared to the previous model with 2 airbags), a new 360-degree camera with blind spot monitor, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and rear parking sensors.
Tata Tiago new vs old: Powertrain
2026 Tiago continues with the same petrol and CNG options as before
With the 2026 update, Tata has retained the same powertrain options of the Tiago: an 86hp 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 76hp CNG, both offered with a choice of a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT.
With the facelift, the Tiago’s prices have increased slightly over the outgoing model, now starting from Rs 4.69 lakh, compared to the older model, which was priced from Rs 4.60 lakh. The 2026 Tiago continues to lock horns with the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Maruti Swift and Citroen C3.
Prices are ex-showroom, India.
