Skoda introduced the second-gen Kodiaq on April 17, 2025, bringing in a more premium cabin, new features, and a slight power bump. Deliveries of this flagship SUV, brought to our market via the CKD route, began the following month. With the model now over a year old, let’s delve into its sales performance to determine how it has fared.
- 1,802 Kodiaq SUVs sold in the first year since launch
- Kodiaq prices were revised due to GST cut and MY26 update
- New entry-level Lounge trim introduced within five months of launch
Skoda Kodiaq sales
Monthly sales averaged 150 units in the first year

In its first year, 1,802 units of the Kodiaq were sold, averaging 150 units per month. While the first month’s total was 205 units, monthly numbers began to decline before peaking at 305 units in October 2025, likely because of price cuts following GST revisions. However, this momentum was short-lived, with sales fluctuating over the following months. March 2026 recorded the lowest volume at just 64 units.
Skoda Kodiaq milestones
While Skoda launched the Kodiaq in Sportline and L&K versions, it introduced a third trim, the Kodiaq Lounge, in September 2025. Priced at Rs 39.99 lakh at launch (currently Rs 36.99 lakh), the new entry-level Kodiaq Lounge made the SUV much more affordable, but at the cost of the third row of seats.

In May 2026, Skoda updated the Kodiaq line-up by bringing Level 2 ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems) features for the Sportline and Selection L&K trims. The carmaker has also announced that the spicier Kodiaq RS will launch by June 2026.
Notably, Skoda once issued a recall for the Kodiaq due to compromised side airbag protection for front occupants in 221 units manufactured between March 10 and December 8, 2025.
Skoda Kodiaq price
As of May 2026, the Kodiaq’s price ranges from Rs 36.99 lakh to Rs 46.99 lakh
At launch, the second-generation Kodiaq was priced at Rs 46.89 lakh for Sportline and Rs 49.25 lakh for the Selection L&K trim. The Rs 39.99 lakh entry-level Lounge trim was introduced later. With tax reduction under GST reforms in September 2025, Skoda cut the prices to Rs 43.76 lakh for the Sportline and Rs 45.96 lakh for the Selection L&K. However, the brand again revised them with the MY26 update, increasing them for the Sportline and Selection L&K trims to Rs 44.99 lakh and Rs 46.99 lakh, respectively, while making the Kodiaq Lounge more affordable at Rs 36.99 lakh.
Since Skoda has not been able to attain high volumes for the Kodiaq, it is offering significant discounts on the SUV. In May 2026, the pre-updated version of the Kodiaq is available with benefits of up to Rs 3.5 lakh.
