Fast and Fabulous: India’s first Supercar Catwalk debuts in Mumbai

Some cars are more than just transportation. They are objects of desire, works of art — rolling sculptures that deserve to be celebrated as such and Fast and Fabulous devised a unique way to do just that. Much like how models debut the hottest trends at Milan Fashion Week, Mumbai’s SVP Stadium transformed into a high-octane runway, with Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and rare modern classics taking the spotlight. Cars strutted along an elevated platform before turning on the centre stage, giving spectators unobstructed views of their favourite machinery.

Organised by Elite Octane and Whipmantra, the event showcased over 50 supercars, modern classics, and modified machines, alongside an actual fashion show and live performances — a blend of horsepower and haute couture.

Fast and Fabulous: The Supercar Catwalk

    Supercars and modern classics

This Saab 9-3 Convertible was arguably the rarest car in the modern classics collection.

The first segment was all about contemporary performance. Leading the pack was the recently launched Ferrari 12Cilindri, followed by a series of McLarens, more Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Mercedes-AMGs.

One of the standout moments was the modern classics segment curated by Autocar India, led by editor Hormazd Sorabjee and his Porsche Cayman GTS. This segment brought together cars seldom seen on Mumbai roads – a Saab 9-3 Convertible, Bentley Continental GT, Triumph Spitfire, R230 Mercedes-AMG SL63, BMW E46 M3 Cabriolet and a Mercedes-AMG S63 – all of which drew enthusiastic applause from the crowd.

    High fashion meets hot rods

In a change of pace, the platform turned runway as models showcased high-end garments from Raymond’s fashion line, flanked by two vintage American hot rods from the collection of their chairman, Gautam Sighania. The chairman later joined the stage, making an unusual entrance in an autorickshaw.

The show continued with another batch of supercars and luxury vehicles. Standouts included a pair of Lamborghini Huracans in eye-catching colour schemes, a Rolls-Royce Phantom, a Porsche 911 GT3 RS and a convertible Bentley Continental GT. Beverage partner Campa Energy showcased a customised Dodge Charger, complete with an outrageous wide-body kit, air suspension and a HEMI V8, which drew plenty of attention.

    Motorsport personalities in attendance

Rally driver Gaurav Gill rocked up in a V8-powered off-road buggy.

JK Tyre brought out rally ace Gaurav Gill, who arrived in a V8-powered off-road buggy. He was joined by a Formula Wolf racecar and Mr. Akhilesh Reddy, chairman of Racing Promotions Pvt. Ltd, to announce the upcoming 2025 season of the Indian Racing Festival, set to begin on August 15, 2025.

This Mk4 Toyota Supra was an absolute crowd favourite.

After a live performance, the final act saw a wave of modified cars take the stage, including a Nissan GT-R with scissor doors and air suspension. The show stoppers, however, were Imran Majid’s Mk4 Toyota Supra and Sean Rogers Pachigalla’s Audi R8 – officially India’s fastest quarter-mile car – that brought an end to a Fast and Fabulous evening.
