The 2026 Honda City has been launched in India with prices ranging from Rs 12 lakh to Rs 21 lakh. This mid-lifecycle update brings a revised exterior and additional features such as a 360-degree camera, ventilated seats and a larger touchscreen. The sedan is offered in four trims – SV, V, ZX and ZX+ – with the same powertrain options, but the prices have increased across the board. Let us find out more.
2026 Honda City: How different are the prices now?
Manual variants of the City now cost up to Rs 30,000 more
While Honda has not changed the base-spec SV variant’s price, other manual variants have become pricier by up to Rs 30,000. In fact, due to a variant rejig, the top-spec City manual now costs Rs 1.15 lakh more. That said, Honda has now added features such as a 360-degree camera system and ventilated seats with the top-spec ZX+, which were absent on the older City’s ZX. However, the enhancements do not justify the Rs 1.15 lakh price gap.
As for the V variant, a closer look at the brochure reveals that all features are the same, yet prices have still risen by Rs 30,000, possibly due to the higher input costs and other factors. Also, Honda has removed the analogue-digital instrument cluster with a 7-inch TFT MID from the ZX variant, offering it on the top-spec ZX+. The ZX now gets a bigger touchscreen and sees a price hike of Rs 26,000.
Top CVT variant of the City is Rs 1.08 lakh pricier
It’s the same story with the CVT variants. While the mid-spec variants see a price hike of up to Rs 20,000, the top-spec Honda City CVT now costs Rs 1.08 lakh more, and the new feature additions do not justify this premium.
The City Hybrid’s price has increased by Rs 1 lakh
The Honda City Hybrid is the highest-priced version of the sedan in India, which was first launched at Rs 19.50 lakh. With the second mid-cycle update, Honda has priced it at Rs 21 lakh, at Rs 1 lakh more than the older model. Despite this, there are no significant additions, except for a larger touchscreen, ventilated front seats and a 360-degree camera. This makes the Honda City Hybrid a less value-for-money proposition than before.
