2025 Volvo XC60 facelift price and specs compared with rivals

The Volvo XC60 has received a new facelift, marking the second such refresh for the midsize luxury SUV since the current-gen model launched in 2017. For 2025, the XC60 sports subtle design updates, familiar powertrains, a longer features list, and a bumped-up price tag. Let’s take a look at how the latest Volvo SUV fares against its rivals – the Mercedes-Benz GLC, BMW X3, Audi Q5, and Lexus NX – on paper.

XC60 is among the longest midsize luxury SUVs.

In terms of length and wheelbase, the XC60 is on the bigger side of its segment. The Volvo SUV is not as tall as the X3 and GLC, but its wheelbase is the same as the BMW. The GLC has the longest wheelbase here, outsizing the XC60’s by 23mm. Coming to width, the XC60 is the second-largest among its rivals, while its second-lowest height tells the opposite story.

NX uniquely gets 20-inch alloy wheels as standard.

However, boot space is where the XC60 ranks the lowest on the totem pole: 37 litres short of the NX and Q5, 87 litres short of the X3, and a whopping 157 litres short of the GLC. Wheel sizes are matched between all SUVs at 19 inches, with the NX setting itself apart as the only one sporting 20-inchers as standard.

XC60 is petrol-only, unlike X3, NX and GLC.

Under the hood, the 2025 XC60 facelift carries on with the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine wired up to a 48V mild-hybrid system. The XC60’s 250hp, 360Nm output is quite competent by segment standards, with only the GLC and Q5 being more powerful.

This is reflected in the XC60's claimed 6.9sec 0-100kph time as well, which sits right in the middle of the rankings – bested by the Q5 and petrol GLC. It's worth noting, though, that unlike the X3 and GLC, the XC60 doesn’t offer a diesel engine option, and the Volvo SUV doesn’t feature a strong-hybrid setup like the NX either.

Volvo has done well to keep the 2025 XC60 facelift price in the lower end of the segment. The Q5 is still the most affordable midsize luxury SUV thanks to its Rs 68 lakh starting price, but its fully loaded variant does venture beyond the XC60’s Rs 71.9 lakh price tag. Notably, the XC60 facelift is available in a sole ‘Ultra’ trim level.
