Gurkha now gets both 3- and 5-door body styles

 Latter has 425mm longer wheelbase, three-row seating

Familiar design

The design hasn’t changed much, which is good thing
Still retains that ‘desi G-wagon’ aesthetics

New features on-board

Biggest updates include a larger touchscreen and a digital instrument cluster
Interior is still let down by utilitarian setup, poor fit and finish

Seating configuration

5-door gets a three-row setup with seven seats in 2-3-2 configuration
3-door remains a 4-seater

New engine

2.6-litre diesel engine now produces 140hp, 320Nm, up from 91hp and 250Nm 
Also gets new 5-speed manual gearbox

Approach angle: 39 degrees
Departure angle: 37 degrees
Breakover angle: 28 degrees (3-door)
Water wading: 700mm
Gets front and rear locking differentials

Good and Bad

We like: Offroad ability, Road presence, feels tough
We don’t like: Cabin fit and finish, Utilitarian ergos, sparsely equipment
