Deliveries of the armoured vehicle to the Indian Army have commenced 

What is it?

It's an Armoured Light Specialist Vehicle (ALSV), indigenously designed and developed by Mahindra Defence Systems (MDS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of M&M.

Where does it serve?

In patrolling high-intensity areas, special forces operations, quick reaction teams


Can be used as a weapon carrier, a reconnaissance vehicle, or a border security vehicle 

Modular and configurable

Can be adapted to suit a wide variety of operations
Offers ballistic protection up to B7, Stanag Level II

Powertrain

3.2-litre, turbocharged, direct-injection diesel 
215hp, 500Nm, 4-speed AT, 4x4
Has a top-speed over 120kph
0-60kph comes up in 12 seconds

Underpinnings

Bilstein independent suspension at all four corners
Tire size - 318/80 R17
Can be configured to be either LHD or RHD
Gets power steering
