The engine in the 1390 Super Adventure S is the same liquid-cooled, 1,350cc, V-twin seen in the Super Duke R but here it is rated for 173hp and 145Nm of torque.

The AMT enables the rider to shift gears via paddles on the left switch cube or it will shift automatically.

KTM has also made changes to the frame to accommodate the bigger engine, with the company claiming the frame is stiffer than the one on the outgoing 1290.

Since the ECU controls both the AMT and the radar-assisted rider aids, the bike can come to a halt on its own if it detects an object on the road, without the rider having to press the brake lever.
