Kia Seltos scores 5-star safety rating in BNCAP crash tests

It is the second model in Kia's lineup to achieve the rating in BNCAP crash tests.

Bharat NCAP tested the diesel-automatic versions of the HTE(O) and GTX trims of the Seltos, but the ratings apply to the entire Seltos range. 

Frontal offset deformable barrier test: 15.70 points out of 16.

Side movable deformable barrier test: 16 points out of 16

Side pole impact test: OK 

Frontal impact test: 8 points out of 8

Side crash test: 4 points out of 4

Dynamic score: 24 points out of 24  

CRS Installation score: 12 points out of 12

Vehicle assessment score: 9 points out of 13

Interestingly, the Seltos scored marginally higher points than the Tata Sierra, which was tested earlier this month. 

• Six airbags, rear parking sensors, and a rear-view camera, downhill brake control, and rear occupant alert. 
• ABS, ESC, stability control, and TPMS.
