Its expected to arrive in India by September-October this year via the CKD route.

Uncamouflaged test mules of the new Carnival has already been spied testing on our roads.

It gets an all-new design language inspired by Kia’s new age EVs with vertical headlamps and tail lamps and L-shaped LED lighting signatures.

Interior also sees a major step-up in quality, premiumness and features; some highlights include 12.3-inch dual displays, HUD, ambient lighting, front and rear dashcams.

While the MPV is offered in 7-, 9- and 11-seat configurations overseas, it remains to be seen which will be offered in the Indian market.

Mechanically, the Carnival is expected to continue with its predecessor’s 201hp, 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel unit and automatic transmission.

Third-gen Carnival was discontinued in June 2023, leaving a gap of nearly Rs 90 lakh in the premium MPV space between the Toyota Innova Hycross and Vellfire.

Its expected to be priced between Rs 26 lakh-35 lakh, ex-showroom, India, and will be positioned above the Innova Hycross.
