The BMW R 1300 RT, launched alongside the R 1300 RS, is part of the same family as the R 1300 R and R 1300 GS.

Uses the same 1,300cc boxer engine

Here too, this engine produces
- 145hp
- 149Nm
- Mated to a six-speed gearbox

This engine comes nestled within the same main-frame as the R 1300 GS, but borrows its rear subframe from the R 1300 R

Suspending this frame is a EVO Telelever front and EVO Paralever rear suspension

The R 1300 RT also features the same 17-inch cast aluminium alloys that save 1.4kg

The R 1300 RT comes standard with twin 27-litre touring cases

It gets a 10.25-inch TFT dash and electronic rider aids include:

- Traction control
- Engine braking control
- Active cruise control
- lane departure warning

The R 1300 RT is offered in four variants

- Basic
- Triple Black
- Impulse
- Option 719 Camargue
