So I don’t want just a typical city car. I’d like something that feels a bit fun to drive as well. Could you suggest some options? I see there are turbo-petrol choices available, but the Honda City’s 1.5 i-VTEC also seems like a strong and powerful naturally aspirated option. One thing I noticed during a test drive, though, was the tyre noise. Even at around 30kph, it felt noticeable and a bit annoying. Is that actually a concern in real-world city or moderate-speed driving, or am I overthinking the NVH levels? Some owners do mention that tyre and road noise in the Honda City can be more noticeable than expected, especially depending on the road surface and tyres.</news:title></news:news><image:image><image:loc>https://cdn-s3.autocarindia.com/volkswagen/Virtus/500_8349.JPG</image:loc></image:image></url><url><loc>https://www.autocarindia.com/advice/which-automatic-car-to-buy-under-18-lakh-with-360-camera-ventilated-seats-and-good-build-qualit-447853</loc><news:news><news:publication><news:name>Autocar India</news:name><news:language>en</news:language></news:publication><news:publication_date>2026-05-16T09:30:16+05:30</news:publication_date><news:title>My budget is Rs 18 lakh. My usage is roughly 50% city and 50% highways, with occasional road trips carrying 5 people. I currently drive a 2019 Dzire manual, and I’m comfortable with manuals-I actually prefer downshifting for overtakes and like having some pickup on demand.

During test drives, I noticed turbo lag in the Venue at low speeds, while the Seltos manual felt smooth and linear, but I couldn’t really test it properly at higher speeds due to traffic.

I also took a test drive of the Seltos IVT, but I felt it might lack during highway overtaking, especially with full load, so I’m leaning more towards the manual with the 1.5 NA engine.

My main questions are:

Will the Seltos 1.5 NA manual feel underpowered on highways with 5 people + luggage during overtakes?
Is the IVT actually capable enough for highway overtakes, or does it start feeling strained with full load?
In the long run, which would be the better choice for my usage between these two?</news:title></news:news><image:image><image:loc>https://cdn-s3.autocarindia.com/Kia/Seltos/_AAB0276.jpg</image:loc></image:image></url><url><loc>https://www.autocarindia.com/car-news/defender-leads-jlr-india-sales-in-fy26-439737</loc><news:news><news:publication><news:name>Autocar India</news:name><news:language>en</news:language></news:publication><news:publication_date>2026-05-15T12:28:02+05:30</news:publication_date><news:title>Defender continues to lead JLR India sales in FY26</news:title></news:news><image:image><image:loc>https://asset.autocarindia.com/static/news/images/20260515_064435_36767d7f.jpg</image:loc></image:image></url><url><loc>https://www.autocarindia.com/advice/can-i-drive-bs4-innova-crysta-diesel-in-delhi-447788</loc><news:news><news:publication><news:name>Autocar India</news:name><news:language>en</news:language></news:publication><news:publication_date>2026-05-15T12:00:20+05:30</news:publication_date><news:title>I own a 2018 Innova Crysta, 3rd owner. with Odo at 1.16 lakh km. I am planning to buy the Mahindra Thar Roxx AX5L 4x4 Automatic. However, the online reviews and customer complaints regarding quality issues are making me quite concerned.

We currently own three cars at home - a Maruti Alto, Toyota Innova Crysta, and a Honda - and thankfully, we have never faced any major defects or poor after-sales service experiences with any of them.

I live in a village, and the nearest authorised service centre is around 100 km away. There are also no reliable third-party workshops in my hometown. Because of this, I am worried that if I buy the Thar Roxx, I may end up making frequent trips to the service centre due to quality issues or the commonly reported electrical and electronic problems.

Emotionally, I really want the Thar Roxx, but practically, my mind keeps warning me about long-term reliability and service concerns.

Considering my situation, would it still be a sensible purchase, or would you advise skipping it? Also, do you have any idea when the next facelift of the Thar Roxx is expected?</news:title></news:news><image:image><image:loc>https://asset.autocarindia.com/static/models/colors/20260123_125626_8637535b.png</image:loc></image:image></url><url><loc>https://www.autocarindia.com/advice/should-i-buy-tesla-model-y-l-under-70-lakh-447727</loc><news:news><news:publication><news:name>Autocar India</news:name><news:language>en</news:language></news:publication><news:publication_date>2026-05-14T14:00:00+05:30</news:publication_date><news:title>I have a budget of 70lakhs. My budget is around Rs 20 lakh. My annual running is about 10,000-12,000 km, with 80% city use. My requirements are essential modern features without gimmicks, no compromise on safety, actual city mileage of around 10-12kpl, and low cabin noise. I am also unsure whether ADAS and an automatic transmission are worth considering for the future or if they are just being hyped. I have shortlisted the Seltos, Sierra, Duster, Grand Vitara (don&apos;t like the design much), and Clavis (similar price and mileage, but can carry the 6th adult) . The on-road price difference is around Rs 3 lakh, so I want to understand whether the Seltos is truly worth the extra cost. My typical usage includes office commuting twice a week, with a one-way travel time of about 1 hour 15 minutes, mostly in city traffic. I also do weekend trips with my wife and occasional trips with family or friends, usually with 4-5 people. The only factor strongly pushing me towards the Seltos is the panoramic sunroof. However, I currently drive a Punch, so I am a little doubtful about handling the Seltos’ size in city traffic.</news:title></news:news><image:image><image:loc>https://cdn-s3.autocarindia.com/Kia/Seltos/_AAB0280.jpg</image:loc></image:image></url><url><loc>https://www.autocarindia.com/auto-features/tata-altroz-cng-vs-tata-punch-cng-which-one-should-you-buy-440530</loc><news:news><news:publication><news:name>Autocar India</news:name><news:language>en</news:language></news:publication><news:publication_date>2026-05-14T08:00:00+05:30</news:publication_date><news:title>Tata Altroz CNG vs Tata Punch CNG: which one should you buy?</news:title></news:news><image:image><image:loc>https://asset.autocarindia.com/static/features/images/20260513_110944_442ea0f0.jpg</image:loc></image:image></url><url><loc>https://www.autocarindia.com/motor-sports-news/royal-enfield-sherpa-ft-mk2-debuts-at-flat-track-world-championship-439726</loc><news:news><news:publication><news:name>Autocar India</news:name><news:language>en</news:language></news:publication><news:publication_date>2026-05-14T07:00:00+05:30</news:publication_date><news:title>Royal Enfield Sherpa FT Mk2 debuts at Flat Track World Championship</news:title></news:news><image:image><image:loc>https://asset.autocarindia.com/static/news/images/20260513_124740_d9630b47.jpg</image:loc></image:image></url></urlset>
