I am planning to buy a midsize SUV and can wait for about six months. My main confusion is between the upcoming Renault Duster, specifically the strong-hybrid variant, and the Kia Seltos. We are leaning towards the new Duster because of its rugged design, impressive 212 mm ground clearance, interior colour theme, and expected hybrid fuel efficiency. However, the Kia Seltos remains a compelling choice due to its generous rear-seat space and feature-packed cabin.
Given that we are a family of three, our priorities are design, ride quality on bad roads, and fuel economy, while also considering rear-seat passenger comfort. Is it worth waiting six months for the Duster Strong Hybrid instead of buying the Seltos now? How does the Duster&apos;s rear-seat legroom and overall highway comfort compare with the Seltos?

I have been riding a 125cc bike for quite a long time now, and I’m looking to upgrade to a better-looking bike with good performance. I’m quite emotionally attached to my vehicles and take very good care of them, so I’m looking for something that I can enjoy and keep for a long time. Most of my riding is within Pune city traffic, but I would also like to start exploring longer rides and weekend trips, which I haven’t really done so far.

I’m not very familiar with all the good options currently available in the market. I have looked at the Harley-Davidson X440 and a couple of options from Triumph, but I’m still not sure what would suit me best. One more thing I’m confused about is whether I should go for a petrol bike or consider an EV two-wheeler. With the increasing concerns around E20 fuel and its long-term impact on some higher-capacity bikes, I’m wondering if an EV would make more sense for my usage, especially considering that most of my riding is in city traffic.

I would really appreciate your guidance in selecting the right bike based on my riding requirements, preferences and long-term ownership perspective.</news:title></news:news><image:image><image:loc>https://asset.autocarindia.com/static/models/colors/20250926_125040_baa3276f.jpg?w=1200&amp;h=675&amp;fit=crop&amp;crop=entropy&amp;q=75&amp;fm=auto</image:loc></image:image></url><url><loc>https://www.autocarindia.com/advice/mercedes-gls-450d-vs-petrol-which-should-you-buy-500948</loc><news:news><news:publication><news:name>Autocar India</news:name><news:language>en</news:language></news:publication><news:publication_date>2026-08-13T13:50:57+05:30</news:publication_date><news:title>I currently own a 2016 Mercedes E250 CDI Edition E. However, I&apos;ve been reading reports that an Elevate facelift may be launched soon.

My top priorities are: ADAS (Honda Sensing), LaneWatch camera
Nice-to-have features: 360-degree camera, ventilated seats

Given the current discounts, would it be better to buy the Elevate now or wait for the facelift? If the facelift does add features such as a 360° camera, ventilated seats, or expanded ADAS availability across more variants, do you expect Honda to increase prices significantly? Honda has already expanded ADAS availability in some City variants. Is it likely that Honda could make ADAS available in more Elevate variants as part of the facelift? I usually keep my cars for 8-10 years, so I&apos;m trying to understand whether the current discounts on the existing model outweigh the potential benefits of waiting for the facelift.

I’ve finally decided to go ahead with the Tata Harrier Adventure X+ Diesel AT instead of the petrol variant. I was previously a WagonR owner, and for the last three years, I’ve been driving a VW Taigun 1.5 MT Petrol.

My only concern with switching to a diesel is the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter). My running is around 500 km per week, so I believe that should be sufficient, but I’m still not entirely clear about the DPF requirements. Does a diesel car need to be driven every day, or is regular weekly running of around 500 km enough to keep the DPF healthy? I’d also like to know about real-world experiences with diesel cars, particularly regarding DPF regeneration and maintenance.

I’d really appreciate any suggestions or experiences you can share.

Also, I’m a big fan of the Harrier. I did consider the 7-seater, but honestly, it feels a bit too long for my preference and has more of a “taxi” feel to it. The 5-seater Harrier looks much more proportionate and suits my taste better.

Looking forward to hearing about your experiences.</news:title></news:news><image:image><image:loc>https://cdn-s3.autocarindia.com/Tata/harrier/500_8578.jpg?w=1200&amp;h=675&amp;fit=crop&amp;crop=entropy&amp;q=75&amp;fm=auto</image:loc></image:image></url><url><loc>https://www.autocarindia.com/advice/tata-safari-vs-sierra-petrol-automatic-500984</loc><news:news><news:publication><news:name>Autocar India</news:name><news:language>en</news:language></news:publication><news:publication_date>2026-08-14T02:55:01+05:30</news:publication_date><news:title>I am confused between the Tata Safari Petrol MT and the Tata Sierra Accomplished/Accomplished+ Petrol AT. This will be my first car, and I plan to keep it for around 8-10 years. My primary requirement is a real-world city mileage of at least 10-11kpl. Most of the driving will be in the city, with a monthly running of around 300km and one long trip every 1-2 months. Good road presence is also important. I would also prefer an engine with enough power for effortless highway overtaking. My wife is particularly interested in the passenger screen available on the Sierra Accomplished+, which is why I am considering stretching the budget for it. However, I am mainly confused between the Brezza and the XUV 3XO and would appreciate some guidance on which one would be better suited to my requirements.</news:title></news:news><image:image><image:loc>https://cdn-s3.autocarindia.com/Mahindra/xuv-3xo/500_8436.JPG?w=1200&amp;h=675&amp;fit=crop&amp;crop=entropy&amp;q=75&amp;fm=auto</image:loc></image:image></url><url><loc>https://www.autocarindia.com/advice/automatic-petrol-suv-under-14-lakh-500898</loc><news:news><news:publication><news:name>Autocar India</news:name><news:language>en</news:language></news:publication><news:publication_date>2026-08-12T21:45:03+05:30</news:publication_date><news:title>I used to own a Tata Nexon AMT petrol for five years, but I had to sell it due to a serious manufacturing-related rusting issue and a poor service experience. I’m now looking to buy a new automatic petrol SUV with a budget of up to Rs 14 lakh. The car will mainly be used for weekend driving within the city, with perhaps one long trip every month. The annual running is expected to be only around 5,000- 6,000 km. A car that does not require much hassle in terms of servicing would be a major plus. Around 90 percent of the driving will be in the city, with an average daily usage of about 50km. I need help with a few aspects of the purchase. First, is it worth paying a premium for an EV given my usage? Second, are ADAS and other technology features genuinely useful for this kind of usage, and should ADAS be considered a make-or-break feature? I would also appreciate a shortlist of cars that would suit these requirements.</news:title></news:news><image:image><image:loc>https://cdn-s3.autocarindia.com/legacy/cdni/Galleries/20190131113636_2019-Maruti-Wagon-R-front-a.jpg?w=1200&amp;h=675&amp;fit=crop&amp;crop=entropy&amp;q=75&amp;fm=auto</image:loc></image:image></url><url><loc>https://www.autocarindia.com/car-news/mg-hector-tomahawk-ev-spied-undisguised-ahead-of-august-26-launch-440501</loc><news:news><news:publication><news:name>Autocar India</news:name><news:language>en</news:language></news:publication><news:publication_date>2026-08-16T16:37:51+05:30</news:publication_date><news:title>MG Hector Tomahawk EV spied undisguised ahead of August 26 launch</news:title></news:news><image:image><image:loc>https://asset.autocarindia.com/static/news/images/20260816_105838_72242faf.jpg</image:loc></image:image></url><url><loc>https://www.autocarindia.com/auto-images/lamborghini-revuelto-sv-image-gallery-440426</loc><news:news><news:publication><news:name>Autocar India</news:name><news:language>en</news:language></news:publication><news:publication_date>2026-08-16T16:00:01+05:30</news:publication_date><news:title>Lamborghini Revuelto SV image gallery</news:title></news:news><image:image><image:loc>https://asset.autocarindia.com/static/image-galleries/images/20260814_121858_8b7ff5f9.jpg</image:loc></image:image></url><url><loc>https://www.autocarindia.com/advice/taigun-1-5-gt-manual-to-dsg-switch-for-city-traffic-and-long-term-reliability-500837</loc><news:news><news:publication><news:name>Autocar India</news:name><news:language>en</news:language></news:publication><news:publication_date>2026-08-11T22:30:21+05:30</news:publication_date><news:title>I own a 2022 Volkswagen Taigun 1.5 GT MT and have driven around 56,000 km. I’m looking for a petrol SUV under Rs 18 lakh with a manual transmission. I live in a small town and travel to Bengaluru occasionally. Most of my driving is a mix of city and highway use, with some hill driving, and I expect to cover around 5,000–8,000 km a year. I’m not looking for excessive features, as I feel the more electronics and automation a car has, the higher the maintenance costs can be.

My priorities are a strong SUV stance and commanding driving position, good safety, annual maintenance costs below Rs 10,000, decent mileage, good road presence, predictable handling and comfortable ride quality. I also go trekking and take part in other outdoor activities, so some light off-road capability would be useful. Nothing extreme, but enough ground clearance and confidence to tackle rough patches and uneven roads.

At the moment, I’m considering the Honda Elevate and Renault Duster, but I’m slightly concerned about long-term maintenance and after-sales support. From what I understand, Honda parts are generally sourced through its authorised network, while the Duster is not particularly known for having strong after-sales support.

Could you please suggest which SUV would be the better choice for my requirements? Any other recommendations would also be helpful.</news:title></news:news><image:image><image:loc>https://cdn-s3.autocarindia.com/Renault/duster/500_5518.jpg?w=1200&amp;h=675&amp;fit=crop&amp;crop=entropy&amp;q=75&amp;fm=auto</image:loc></image:image></url><url><loc>https://www.autocarindia.com/auto-features/3-reasons-to-buy-the-aprilia-tuono-457-special-edition-and-2-reasons-to-skip-it-440914</loc><news:news><news:publication><news:name>Autocar India</news:name><news:language>en</news:language></news:publication><news:publication_date>2026-08-16T11:07:42+05:30</news:publication_date><news:title>3 reasons to buy the Aprilia Tuono 457 Special Edition and 2 reasons to skip it</news:title></news:news><image:image><image:loc>https://asset.autocarindia.com/static/features/images/20260814_104932_3adad7fb.jpeg</image:loc></image:image></url><url><loc>https://www.autocarindia.com/advice/comfortable-sedan-under-16-lakh-for-city-use-500789</loc><news:news><news:publication><news:name>Autocar India</news:name><news:language>en</news:language></news:publication><news:publication_date>2026-08-11T12:17:49+05:30</news:publication_date><news:title>Hi, I own a Kia Sonet, which I am extremely disappointed with. About 99% of my driving is in the city, and my budget for a new car is around Rs 15-16 lakh.

My priorities are a sedan with a smooth and comfortable ride, particularly over city speed breakers and potholes, along with good mileage, relatively low and hassle-free maintenance, reasonable running costs, and good after-sales service. Unfortunately, I have found the Kia Sonet disappointing in all these areas.

I am therefore looking for a decent sedan that better suits my requirements. I also believe sedans generally offer a smoother and more comfortable ride than many of the newer compact SUVs. Please correct me if I am wrong and suggest some suitable options within my budget.</news:title></news:news><image:image><image:loc>https://cdn-s3.autocarindia.com/Honda/City/AAB02979.jpg?w=1200&amp;h=675&amp;fit=crop&amp;crop=entropy&amp;q=75&amp;fm=auto</image:loc></image:image></url><url><loc>https://www.autocarindia.com/car-long-termer/skoda-kylaq-long-term-review-3-800km-report-440515</loc><news:news><news:publication><news:name>Autocar India</news:name><news:language>en</news:language></news:publication><news:publication_date>2026-08-16T10:00:04+05:30</news:publication_date><news:title>Skoda Kylaq long-term review, 3,800km report</news:title></news:news><image:image><image:loc>https://asset.autocarindia.com/static/reviews/images/20260814_095700_ea0d9bc0.jpg</image:loc></image:image></url><url><loc>https://www.autocarindia.com/advice/maruti-swift-1-lakh-km-ev-upgrade-456076</loc><news:news><news:publication><news:name>Autocar India</news:name><news:language>en</news:language></news:publication><news:publication_date>2026-08-10T14:24:14+05:30</news:publication_date><news:title>Hi Autocar Team, I currently own a 2021 Maruti Suzuki Swift ZXi (P) and have covered 100,000 km.
