The Hyundai Ioniq 5 rivals the likes of the Kia EV6, Volvo XC40 Recharge, BMW iX, BYD Sealion 7, Tesla Model Y and Mercedes-Benz EQA. Customers of the Ioniq 5 have four exterior colour options to choose from: Gravity Gold Matte, Midnight Black Pearl, Optic White and Titan Grey. All of these are single-tone shades but accompanied by silver-coloured trim lower down in the bodywork.
The Ioniq 5 is based on the Korean brand’s 800V E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform) and is powered by a single, rear-mounted electric motor that generates 217hp and 350Nm of torque. There is only one variant of the Ioniq 5 on sale in India, and it is equipped with a 72.6kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The starting price of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is Rs 46.30 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
