Tesla is a US-based car brand owned by Elon Musk. It has models like the Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X and the Cybertruck, which are sold in over 30 countries. The brand is named after Nikola Tesla, a physicist and an electrical engineer who first patented the AC induction motor back in 1888. Tesla has tried to enter the Indian market earlier, but import duties and regulations posed a roadblock.
