BMW India has been manufacturing and selling cars since 2007. The German brand takes on the likes of Mercedes-Benz and Audi globally, and has a vast line-up of cars and SUVs in India positioned at various price points. 

BMW car price in India

The BMW India line-up starts with the 2 Series Gran Coupe that rivals the Mercedes A-Class limousine. While the 2 Series is the cheapest BMW model in India, the XM SUV, which is priced upwards of Rs 2 crore, is the most expensive BMW car sold in India.

BMW has around 10 sedans in the India line-up with the 3 Series being one of its oldest models. It rivals the Mercedes C-Class and the Audi A4.

The BMW 5 Series sedan that launched last year, rivals the E-Class and the Audi A6 in India.  The BMW 5 Series LWB was launched in India for the first time, and it rivals the E-Class LWB. It currently comes only with a petrol engine.

BMW X1 price in India

The most affordable BMW SUV in India is the X1 that takes on the Mercedes GLA and the Audi Q3. The BMW X1 also gets an electric model, the iX1. Additionally, BMW India launched an iX1 LWB SUV at the Auto Expo 2025 in January. The new BMW X3 was also launched in January, and it continues to take on the Mercedes GLC and the Audi Q5. Audi will launch the all-new Q5 next year.
