2015 Maruti Swift Dzire facelift first look

The refreshed Swift Dzire’s petrol engine has also been tweaked, in pursuit of better fuel efficiency. Its 1.2-litre petrol motor is now marginally less powerful (83.1bhp instead of 85.8bhp) but delivers an increase in fuel efficiency (20.85 kpl instead of 19.1 kpl). The diesel motor, on the other hand, continues with the same power output, but now delivers 3.19kpl more (26.59kpl instead of 23.4 kpl), thanks to a tweaked ECU and reduced friction. This makes the Dzire diesel achieve best effeciency figures for a diesel car sold in India. 

The Swift Dzire petrol manual is now available in four trims while the diesel comes in three. The petrol automatic variant is also on offer, which comes with a four-speed gearbox.
