SsangYong has unveiled the new Korando C at the Seoul Marina in Yeouido. The carmaker states that the Korando C has received a major facelift, including a newly designed interior and body, as well as more convenience features.

The brand slogan for the Korando C is ‘Urban Adventure’, which, according to SsangYong, expresses the fusion of urban driving with outdoor adventure.

On the outside, the car features projector headlights with a black bezel and LEDs. The grille is the same colour as the body, and comes with chrome moulding, and the air intake grille is in line with the bumper. The car also gets new 18-inch wheels.

The cabin features updated interiors and a driver’s seat with forced ventilation in the seat cushion and backrest. The car also comes with the option of red leather seats.

The company claims that the powertrain has been optimised to improve efficiency by up to 8 percent when driving in Eco mode. It will be offered with manual and automatic transmission options.

In terms of features, it comes equipped with a 7-inch multimedia touchscreen with navigation and a sound system by Harmon/Kardon. Additional options include a black box, front and rear skid plates, side steps and a washer fluid heater.

The Korando C comes with a three years/60,000km warranty for the body and general parts, along with a five years/1,00,000km warranty for the powertrain.

CEO Lee Yoo-il says, “The Korando C comes with a new innovative style and greater appeal to drivers. I have no doubt that it will be an attractive choice for drivers looking for vehicles for both urban driving and outdoor leisure activities.”

If the Korando C is launched here, it will be SsangYong’s second offering in India after the Rexton SUV. There have been plenty of spy shots of the car testing here, but the carmaker hasn’t yet confirmed whether the Korando C will make its debut here.
