Mercedes-Benz's AMG division has released some teaser images of a new model that will be revealed in full at the LA motor show later this month.
The images, which first appeared on the company's Facebook page, was accompanied by the message that it would reveal teaser shots of "a new member of the AMG family" in the run up to the show.
Media speculation suggests the image shows part of the Mercedes SLS AMG Final Edition, which is expected to make its debut at the US show. It is thought that the Final Edition of the SLS will provide subtle external revisions, with new air vents and a new hood. The rear bumper and exhaust exits will also be changed.
The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Final Edition will keep the 6.2-litre V8 engine used in the current model, which develops 591bhp and 66.2kgm of torque, but the luxury car will likely benefit from a small performance boost as well as interior upgrades.
The four-year old SLS is due to enter retirement next year, with its replacement codenamed C190, looking to take on the Porsche 911 Turbo when it launches in 2015.
