Mercedes-Benz has announced that its ‘Performance Drive’ programme has received 1,665 registrations within two months of launch.

The carmaker also reported that its AMG Driving Academy, which will be launched in India on April 15, 2013, has been sold out, and that a total of 8000 participants are set to experience the StarDrive experience in 2013. The StarDrive experience enables participants to experience the capabilities of Mercedes-Benz cars and SUVs through specially created driving situations under the guidance of trained professionals.

Eberhard Kern, managing director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, commented, “Mercedes-Benz Performance Drive is the most comprehensive driving programme in India. The overwhelming response is a clear indication of the fascination of the Three Pointed Star among the young Indian achievers and points towards the fact that the culture of performance driving is coming of age in India.”
