Volkswagen India dealers are looking to clear out stocks of the 2013 Vento diesel sedan Comfortline trim by offering the car as a special edition called the Vento Preferred. This special edition is priced at Rs 10.74 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
This version of the Vento sees the addition of features like alloy wheels, side door protectors, touches of chrome on the window lines and door visors, a boot spoiler and a Preferred badge on the boot lid. On the inside, it gets a reversing camera display which also works as a navigation system. The carmaker is also providing free insurance for a year and free roadside assistance for four years.
Under the skin, the VW Vento Preferred retains the same 1.6-litre diesel motor, which comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission, as the regular car. The VW Vento Preferred edition will be available depending on stocks. This edition is not available on the 2014 Vento sedan.
VW has also discontinued the base trim of the Polo hatchback and Vento sedan owing to low demand.
