Skoda will be adding two new SUVs to its global line-up. These new SUVs will hit markets worldwide within the next two years and will be positioned below and above the Yeti. The first one will be based on the upcoming VW compact SUV. Both models will be based on parent company Volkswagen’s A0 platform. Expect the Skoda compact SUV to be priced slightly below its VW sibling.

Engine choices are likely to be an all-new 1.5-litre diesel as well as a direct-injection petrol motor. This SUV will join a whole new breed of compact SUVs like the soon-to-be-launched Ford EcoSport.
Skoda’s bigger SUV could be based on the recently-launched VW Touareg and be priced below the VW. According to our sources, this SUV will have Skoda’s DNA in terms of styling and build quality and is expected to be a capable performer both on and off the road. Skoda is also quietly working on a seven-seater Yeti, which could make its way here given the recent trend of seven-seat SUVs in India.
