SsangYong will unveil the fourth-generation Rexton at the 2016 Paris motor show in October. Images released across the web recently, reveal that the new Rexton will get a redesigned centre console and a new three-spoke steering wheel. Compared to its predecessor, it will offer more premium upholstery and creature comforts. The next-generation Rexton is also expected to get a large TFT screen on the dashboard, a larger boot space with a folding third-row seat to provide more space for luggage, as well as an electronic-parking brake system.
The new Rexton is believed to be around 50kg lighter than the current-generation SUV and get improved dynamics, which will help it offer better fuel efficiency. It might also get a selectable all-wheel-drive system along with other safety features like lane departure warning, blind-spot detection and airbags.
The SUV will likely continue to be powered by the same 2.2-litre diesel engine that produces 180.46hp of power. While Paris motor show will witness a pre-production model of the new Rexton, the final production version will make its debut at Geneva Motor Show.
