Land Rover has confirmed that it will be launching a new Heritage division, at the Techno Classica show in Germany. The Heritage division will take care of all Land Rovers out of production for over a decade, and offer factory parts made by using original tooling methods.

The new Heritage division will be a part of JLR’s Special Vehicles Operations (SVO) which is also responsible for the Jaguar Heritage division, along with building super-luxurious Range Rovers and exclusive sportcars.

John Edwards, Managing Director of JLR SpecialOperations, said: “It is estimated that 70% of all Land Rovers manufactured since 1948 are still in existence, so there is a large and very passionate owner base to support Land Rover Heritage.”

Land Rover will also launch “Land Rover Heritage Drives” by mid-year, creating an opportunity to drive historic models from its own collection at a special testing facility in Warwickshire, UK.
