Complete technical specifications and images of the upcoming Jaguar F-Type SVR have been leaked online. The information is said to have been revealed by a German dealer who appears to have published a brochure prematurely.
According to the leaked brochure, the all-wheel-drive F-Type SVR is powered by Jaguar’s supercharged 5.0-litre V8 and an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Modifications have increased the power output from 542bhp (in the V8 R Coupe) to 567bhp, while torque is also up from 69.40kgm to 71.33kgm. This helps the car go from 0-100kph in just 3.7 seconds, 0.4sec faster than the AWD F-Type R, and raises top speed to 321.86kph.
Aerodynamic enhancements on the F-Type SVR include a more prominent rear diffuser, a large front spoiler and a rear wing that is claimed to reduce lift by up to 80 percent. Larger intakes offer improved engine and brake cooling. The SVR also gets a lightweight titanium exhaust that saves 12kg, forged aluminium wheels that save 10kg, and carbon ceramic brakes which are 21kg lighter than the standard car’s.
The brochure also states that Jaguar will be offering a convertible version of the SVR. This car has a claimed top speed of 312.21kph.
The F-Type SVR is expected to be officially unveiled in the coming months and go on sale in international markets later this year.
