Hyundai announces price hike

Hyundai has raised the prices of all its models sold in India with immediate effect.

Hyundai has announced a price hike across all its models with effect from April 1, 2013.

Commenting on the price hike, Rakesh Srivastava, vice president, sales and marketing said, “The price increase was necessitated due to On Board Diagnostic Compliance (OBDC) changes. We have increased the prices in the range of Rs 575 to Rs 2,830 across all the models. We have tried to absorb the maximum cost to minimise the price increase to cause less inconvenience to our valued customers.”

The price hikes are as follows:

Eon - Increase of up to Rs 2,500

Santro - Increase of up to Rs 2,830

i10 - Increase of up to Rs 900

i20 - Increase of up to Rs 575 for both petrol and diesel variants

Verna - Increase of up to Rs 1,340 for both petrol and diesel variants

Elantra - Increase of up to Rs 1,740 for both petrol and diesel variants

Sonata - Increase of up to Rs 2,813

Santa Fe - Increase of up to Rs 2,813
