Honda has kicked off a social media campaign as a build-up to the launch of the much-awaited BR-V. The BR-V marks Honda’s entry into India's popular SUV segment where it looks set to rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta and Maruti S-cross.

The social media campaign, set to span a period of 20 days, will display photos of the BR-V in various environments and on varied terrain, as suggested by the audience. Those interested will be able to view the photos on the company’s social media pages and the BR-V’s official website. Honda says that the aim of the campaign is to create a connection with consumers prior to the SUV’s India launch in the coming months.

“The core idea behind the ‘#WhereNextWithBRV” campaign is to showcase how the BR-V offers the opportunity to explore whatever, wherever, whenever. We wanted to create a memorable journey of the Honda BR-V travelling to picturesque locales and inspiring scenes,” said Jnaneswar Sen, senior vice president, marketing and sales, Honda Cars India.

The BR-V will be a big launch for Honda in India as the automaker looks to introduce the first seven-seater competitor in the segment currently dominated by the Hyundai Creta. Based on the same platform as the Brio and Mobilio, the BR-V features crossover styling cues while also packing in a spacious interior. The BR-V will slot in above the Mobilio in Honda's India line-up and will use the familiar 1.5-litre diesel and petrol engines from the Mobilio and City but with suitable changes to its tuning.
