The next-generation Audi TT is expected to look similar to the current generation.

Audi released the first image of its third-generation Audi TT, which will be unveiled at the Geneva motor show starting this week. Audi’s new coupe, based on VW’s MQB platform, the next-generation TT is expected to look similar to the current car.

Spy pictures already reveal that the car has a revised grille design, more angular headlights and a contoured clamshell bonnet. More heavily sculpted crease lines are also evident. Technological advancements are expected to be more significant and include making the car significantly lighter. The new coupe may see the introduction of more economical and faster powertrains and much-improved interior technology.

In particular, its new-look driver-focussed cabin has already been seen, and is notable for no longer featuring a separate infotainment display in the centre of the dashboard. Instead, all the infotainment displays are now found on the all-digital instrument cluster, making room for more cabin space and saving some more weight.

The new Audi TT is likely to launch in international markets towards the end of 2014.
